JanCo Publishing was founded in 1985 by Jan Rooney. She took an approach to phone book publishing to a new level.

The best features of her books are the award-winning Community Pages. This section has “How-To” information for newcomers, voter registration, how to get a license or passport, and more.

JanCo’s directories are filled with more than just telephone numbers, there are featured sections of special interest.

Jan describes her directories as, “More user friendly than the bigger indexes of the yellow pages books. Our books also have a ‘Hometown’ feel about them.”

Given the economic climate, her advertising rates are a fraction of what the big-books charge. Plus, her ads are given special design services to offset them from the competition, no cookie-cutter ads here. JanCo also contributes 10% of her profits to community organizations.
